Wordless? HA!

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

I guess this is supposed to be Wordless Wednesday. Me without words is kind of like a chicken without feathers. I'll try to keep my fingers at bay and type as little as possible. I was going to link up with Jen at the Denton Sanatorium and tell you about a day in my cuckoo's nest. I ran through yesterday in my mind and realized I didn't do crap. I went to the doctor, ate some cheese, watched Sons Of Anarchy and went to bed. Wooo-hooo. Booooooring! So I had to ditch that idea.

I had been chatting by email with Christy at I'm Just Sayin' about what a beautiful place she lives in. Through those emails I remembered what an incredible place I live in. I think I take the beauty for granted since I've been here for 20 years. So I'm going to show you just how amazing Oregon is.

Yes Terrie, we have wheat fields.

This is about a 2 minute walk from my house.

South Beach

Cannon Beach

Sisters

Columbia River Gorge

Clackamas River and Mt Hood

Hell's Canyon

Speaking of Christy, she gave me this cool Honorable Mention award for her Big Mouth Award. Thank you Christy! I usually have a big mouth with lots to say. Lately dealing with all those horrible allergic side effects from that satanic medication I've been on the quiet side. My kids kind of like that, but I'll be back with mouth in full motion!

Love those pictures! My kinda country — water and big trees. The first one, though, looks like the area about five minutes from our house. A sea of grain, instead of water.

Wordless Diva? Isn't gonna happen. Guaranteed! Not part of the character makeup. Especially a biker Diva. (We Bears know about these things.)

So jealous of any lifestyle that doesn't involve subways, rats, and pigeons. BTW...love your header.

Gorgeous!! I wanna come visit!

The pics of Oregon are gorgeous. And anyone not from that part of the country would think that Hell's Canyon might be your Harley side speaking (I'm from western ID, so I know it's really named that).
But you ate cheese yesterday?
Now that's worthy of a post!

This is God's country out here. But, c'mon Diva, ya gotta quit showing those pics or people will want to come out here....and stay.

Er, like you did. Oh, guess it's okay then.

BTW - never got that Wordless Wednesday thing. If you want a photo blog...do a photo blog. Otherwise - write. Right?

They are fantastic photos, Teri. I particularly love the third one down, with the sun through the trees. Very atmospheric.

Yes you do live in a gorgeous area! I have family in Salem, Klamath Falls and Bend! I am always amazed at the lovely shades of green that Oregon produces.

Actually, you COULD have just posted the photos because their beauty speaks for themselves, but it's always nice to hear a few words from the Bipolar Diva!

Wow, I really had no idea HOW beautiful. Breathtaking.

Thanks for sharing those!

We spent our vacation in Oregon this year...it's where my husband grew up. Now our kids want to move there. Thanks for the lovely pics.

Christy October 20, 2010 at 6:18 PM

I told you it was beautiful where you live. And yay!!!! I'm so glad you got an award. You deserve every bit of it.

Mrs. Indecisive October 20, 2010 at 6:42 PM

wow....did you take all of those photos???? Oregon looks amazing!!!

Unknown October 20, 2010 at 7:26 PM

Oregon is a most beautiful state. I haven't been past souther Oregon, but Gold Beach felt very tranquil to me. The Red Wood Trees made me sick at night though with those windy curvy roads all over the place.

we went to a little town... Agnes I believe that is only available for car traffic like 3 months out of the year. I would love to be snowed up in there- right on the river....

Wow. Oregon is beautiful.

I may be making my first visit to Oregon in the coming year. Because my beloved Utes are now in the PAC 12, they will likely be paying a visit to play Oregon or Oregon State. My brothers and I are planning a trip.

Holly October 21, 2010 at 9:45 PM

WOW!! You do have beauty all around you!! ;D Hmmmm.... ROAD TRIP!!! I know... YOUR kind of road trip is MUCH more EXCITING!! If I rode a Harley, I'd have to be the B*^{% on the back! LOL!!

Classic NYer October 22, 2010 at 9:06 AM

Wow... your home is gorgeous. Let me know when you want me to visit.

WOW! Just gorgeous!

It makes me laugh at the irony...i love your pictures but they are putting up more trees on my parents block and I was annoyed by it. why?

Falling leaves on the cars...that's what livin in NYC does to you. Makes you forget trees are supposed to be all around us. Thanks for the reminder!

I've been to Oregon once and it was simply breathtaking. MY friend's parents have a home in Sisters. They took me skiing (my first and only time) at Mt. Bachelor (I think?) and the whole week I spent there was lovely. You are very lucky. THere were even deer in the backyard.

Love the photos, thank you for sharing such beauty!
